At FreedPer Scientific, we recognize that every reliable weather forecast starts with accurate, timely observations. Today, on World Meteorological Day, we celebrate the vital role of meteorological observation in protecting lives, livelihoods, and the planet.
Aligned with this year’s theme, “Observing Today, Protecting Tomorrow”, FreedPer Scientific is dedicated to closing the observation gap in Africa. By deploying state-of-the-art weather stations and innovative data platforms, we are expanding the reach of climate and weather information to communities that need it most, enabling better preparedness and resilience.
We are honored that our work has been recognized on the global stage: our Child-Centred Climate Services case study is featured on the WMO’s interactive ArcGIS map, showcasing how targeted observations and actionable climate information can make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
This World Meteorological Day, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening observation networks and ensuring that every community can access accurate, timely, and life-saving weather and climate information.
Observing Today, Protecting Tomorrow.
